Hi! I’m Karen Sowers, hairstylist and owner of Cedar Rose. It’s my mission to make your hair work for you, and not the other way around.

I value developing relationships with people above all else. I am fascinated by the psychology of human behavior, and truly listen in a way that allows me to connect with each guest individually.

I’m all about the ‘what’ and ‘why,’ and love to analyze everything from the big picture to the fine details. I take the time to really consider hair texture, shape, angles, weight lines, face-framing, light and shadow when designing your look.

My favorite services include grey-coverage, natural highlights and bob haircuts.

When I’m not behind the chair, I recharge by spending time with my husband and friends out and about in nature, exploring our local food scene, or sampling craft cocktails. I tend to go for the classics like martinis or manhattans.
